Minea is an ad spy tool for dropshippers: it indexes millions of Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest ads, lets you filter them by engagement, date and country, and adds shop spying, influencer placement search and AI product picking on top. Plans run $49, $99 and $199 a month (or $39, $79 and $158 a month billed quarterly), and third-party reviews report a 200-credit free plan to test it. It is a strong tool if you sell on Shopify or TikTok Shop and pay for ads. If you sell on eBay, where buyers search instead of scroll, most of what Minea shows you cannot be used.
This review covers what Minea actually does, what the credits system costs in practice, who it fits, and how eBay dropshippers should approach product research instead.
What is Minea and how does it work?
Minea is a French-built ad intelligence platform aimed at dropshippers and small e-commerce brands. Its core is an ad library: Minea's own site says it monitors "more than 10 million ads" with "thousands of ads analyzed daily." Around that library it has bolted on several research features:
- Ad spy (Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest) - Search ads by keyword, engagement, likes, shares, creation date, target country, e-commerce platform and call-to-action. Each ad links to the store running it.
- Shop spy - Look up a Shopify store to see its estimated traffic, active ads and best sellers, and follow trending shops.
- Influencer placements - A database of sponsored posts from Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok creators, useful for spotting products before they hit paid ads.
- AI product picker and Magic Search - Upload an image or describe a product and Minea surfaces matching ads and the stores selling it, plus an AI "winning score."
- AliExpress supplier finder - Reverse image search from an ad to matching AliExpress listings.
- Success Radar (Business plan) - A top 100 trending products list refreshed every 8 hours.
- Tracking lists and Chrome extension - Save ads and shops to lists and spy on a store while browsing it.
The workflow Minea is built for is: find an ad that is scaling, find the store, find the supplier, launch your own store and ads for the same product. That is a paid-ads Shopify workflow from start to finish.
Minea pricing in 2026: plans and the credits system
Minea publishes three plans. Prices below are from the official Minea pricing page as of September 2026, which shows monthly and quarterly billing only (no yearly option). The official page does not list a credit total per plan; it lists AI allowances, and your search credit balance is shown in-app. Ad library coverage per plan is what third-party 2026 reviews report, not something the pricing page spells out, so confirm before you pay.
| Plan | Monthly | Quarterly (per month) | AI ad analyses and AI transcripts | Ad libraries (third-party reported) | Notable extras (official) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | None | Facebook, limited; 200 credits reported by reviewers | Enough for a look, not for research |
| Starter | $49 | $39 | 10 per month | Brand tracker, notifications, daily niche lists, free .Store domain | |
| Premium | $99 | $79 | 50 per month | Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest | Everything in Starter, more tracking and AI allowance |
| Business | $199 | $158 | Unlimited | All, plus influencer placements | Everything in Premium, Success Radar, unlimited AI |
Two things about that table matter more than the headline prices.
First, the quarterly discount (about 20%) locks you in for three months on a tool you may only need during product research sprints, and there is no yearly rate to go cheaper. Second, according to every 2026 review we checked, the Starter plan does not include TikTok ads. Since TikTok is where most 2026 dropshipping products surface first, most serious users end up on Premium, which makes Minea a $79 to $99 a month tool in practice.
How fast do Minea credits burn?
Everything you do in Minea spends credits: viewing an ad's details, unlocking a shop's analytics, downloading a creative, running an AI analysis. The official pricing page does not publish a credit total per plan or a credits-per-action sheet; your allowance appears inside the app after you sign up. Third-party guides report roughly 10,000 credits a month on Starter and 100,000 on Premium, with a basic search costing around 10 credits and a full shop or competitor report 50 to 100. If those figures hold, Starter buys about 100 to 200 detailed lookups a month, which sounds like plenty until you realise that an evening of browsing ads can be 60 or 70 of them. Treat all of that as reported, not official, and check your balance in the first week.

Who is Minea for, and is it worth it?
Minea earns its price for a specific seller: someone who runs a Shopify or TikTok Shop store, spends money on Facebook or TikTok ads, and wants to see which products competitors are scaling right now. For that person the ad library is the product, and $69 to $99 a month is small next to an ad budget.
It is a poor fit for:
- eBay sellers - Covered in detail below.
- Amazon FBA sellers - No Amazon data at all.
- Anyone not running ads - You are paying to see ads you will never run.
- Sellers on a tight budget - Minea plus a Shopify plan plus a lister plus ad spend is easily $250 a month before your first sale.
Why Minea does not work for eBay dropshipping
eBay is a search marketplace. A buyer types "cordless tyre inflator 12v" and compares listings on price, shipping speed and feedback. Nobody on eBay is scrolling past a video ad and impulse buying. That single difference breaks the Minea workflow in four places.
- No eBay data - Minea has no eBay sold data, no eBay listing data and no eBay seller data. Every store in Shop spy is a Shopify store.
- Ad-driven demand does not transfer - A product doing $50k a month on TikTok is often a product nobody types into eBay search. The demand exists only where the ad runs.
- Copying ads is a VeRO risk on eBay - Minea makes it one click to download a competitor's video and product images. Reusing them on eBay invites a takedown under the Verified Rights Owner program; brands and even individual sellers file VeRO reports over copied photos, and repeated notices lead to selling restrictions and account suspension.
- You still need a listing tool - Minea ends at "here is the product and the supplier." An eBay dropshipper needs the listing built, price and stock monitored and orders synced, none of which Minea touches.
If you sell on both eBay and Shopify, Minea can still serve the Shopify side. Just do not budget it against your eBay margin.
Minea vs Dropship.io vs AdSpy vs PiPiADS vs SuperDS Products Finder
| Tool | Best for | Data | Entry price (monthly) | Discounted (per month) | Free option | eBay data | Lists to marketplace |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minea | Multi-platform ad spying | Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest ads, influencers | $49, $99 with TikTok (reported) | $39 / $79 quarterly | 200 credits (reported) | No | No |
| Dropship.io | Shopify store and product research | Modelled Shopify and TikTok Shop sales | $39 | $26 yearly | 7-day trial | No | No (Shopify import) |
| AdSpy | Deep Facebook and Instagram ad search | 177M+ Facebook and Instagram ads | $149 flat | None | No | No | No |
| PiPiADS | TikTok-first ad spying | TikTok ads, Facebook added | $49 promo ($69 list), $99 promo ($159 list) | About 30% off | Limited free searches | No | No |
| SuperDS Products Finder | eBay dropshippers | Products already being dropshipped on eBay | Included from $29.99 plan, 25 coins per product | $24.99 yearly | 7-day trial | Yes | Yes, 1-click to eBay |
All prices as of September 2026; PiPiADS in particular runs rolling "flash sale" pricing, so budget against the list price. For a closer look at the Shopify research alternative, read our Dropship.io review.
The takeaway: Minea, AdSpy and PiPiADS compete with each other for ad-driven sellers. Dropship.io is the store-tracking sibling. None of them touch eBay, which is why eBay sellers keep asking "which ad spy tool should I buy?" and getting the wrong answer.
The risks of ad spy tools for dropshippers
These apply to Minea and to every competitor in the table. They are the reasons sellers cancel after two months.
- Credit burn with no output - It is very easy to spend 3,000 credits in a weekend, save 40 ads to a list and launch nothing. The tool feels productive; the bank balance says otherwise. Set a research budget in credits and a rule that every session ends with a shortlist of three products, not forty.
- Copying ads and images (IP and VeRO) - Downloaded creatives belong to whoever made them. On Facebook that gets a page banned; on eBay it gets a VeRO notice. Three notices in a short window is a common route to a restricted eBay account. Take your own photos or use supplier images you have permission to use.
- Winning-product FOMO - Every ad spy tool shows you products at their peak. By definition, an ad with 20,000 likes has been running for weeks and has attracted copycats. On eBay this shows up as ten identical listings with a falling sold price. Late entry into a saturated product is the most common way new dropshippers lose their first $500.
- Policy blind spots - Ad spy tools do not check whether a product is restricted, a lookalike of a trademarked design, or a category eBay limits. Minea's "winning score" says nothing about eBay's prohibited and restricted items policy or the Drop Shipping Policy, which bans buying from a retailer that ships direct to your buyer.
- Subscription stacking - Minea Premium ($99), a Shopify plan ($39), a lister ($30) and a spy tool for TikTok ($49) is $217 a month. Your first 30 orders need to cover that before you have made a cent.

How eBay sellers should research products safely instead
Here is the process that replaces Minea for an eBay dropshipper. It costs less, uses real sold data and ends with a listing instead of a saved ad.
- Start with eBay's sold and completed filter - It is free and it is actual data. A product with 30+ sales in 30 days across several sellers at a steady price is real demand. Our guide to finding the hottest and best selling items on eBay walks through the filters step by step.
- Scale the search with an eBay-specific finder - Checking comps one product at a time is slow. The SuperDS Products Finder surfaces products that are already being dropshipped on eBay, scored on demand, competition and margin, and delivers each batch of 5 to 50 products only to you, so you are not competing with every other subscriber for the same item. It is paid in coins (25 per product) inside a normal SuperDS plan, so there is no extra subscription to stack.
- Validate the margin with real numbers - If comps sold at $29.99 free shipping, your AliExpress cost is $11 plus $3 shipping, and eBay takes about 13.6% plus $0.30, you clear roughly $11.60 before returns. If the sold price line is falling week over week, skip it regardless of margin.
- Check the brand and images before you list - Run the title through the free VeRO checker so you are not building on a product a rights owner will pull. Use supplier images or your own, never a competitor's ad creative.
- List with monitoring on - Build the listing from the supplier page with a one-click lister that keeps price and stock in sync, and connect order sync so tracking lands within your handling time. This is where Item Not Received cases and late-shipment defects are actually prevented.
- Review on a schedule - After 21 days, anything with zero sales gets ended and its slot reused. Products with sales get a second supplier lined up.
Minea review verdict
Minea is a well-executed ad spy tool with the broadest platform coverage in its class, and Premium on quarterly billing ($79 a month) is the tier that makes sense for anyone who wants TikTok data. The 200 free credits that reviewers report are enough to see whether the interface suits you, not enough to do research.
Buy it if you run paid ads for a Shopify or TikTok Shop store and want to watch what is scaling. Skip it if you sell on eBay: the data is about a different channel, copying what it shows you carries VeRO risk, and you would still need a separate tool to list and fulfil. Put the $79 to $99 toward sold-data research that ends in a listing.
Product research checklist for eBay dropshippers
- Do you run paid ads on Facebook or TikTok? If not, an ad spy subscription is a cost with no output.
- Have you checked eBay sold listings for the product in the last 30 days? Real demand beats a winning score.
- Is the sold price stable or rising? A falling price line means the product is already saturated.
- Are your images and title yours or your supplier's, not a competitor's ad creative?
- Has the title passed a VeRO check for brand names and lookalike terms?
- Does your monthly tool spend fit inside the profit of your first 30 orders?
- Is price, stock and order tracking automated so the listing does not turn into a defect?
