Hot Products Finder: AliExpress Winners for eBay Sellers

A hot product for eBay dropshipping is one that is selling in volume right now at the supplier, reaches the buyer fast enough to keep your eBay seller standards green, and still leaves margin after fees. Finding one is a filtering job, not a guessing game. This guide shows the filters that matter, the ways hot products go wrong, and how the new SuperDS Product Finder hands you AliExpress winners that no other SuperDS seller receives.

What makes an AliExpress product hot for eBay?

Trending on TikTok is not the same as selling. A product earns the label when four things line up at once. Miss one and the listing either never sells or sells and loses money.

  • Current volume. Hundreds of orders in the last 30 days at the supplier, not a lifetime total that peaked in 2023. AliExpress exposes this number per listing, so there is no reason to guess.
  • Supplier trust. Positive feedback above 90 percent. Below that, returns and "not as described" cases eat the margin faster than any markup can cover.
  • Shipping that meets eBay. Under 10 days to the buyer's country. eBay's seller performance standards track late shipment rate and cases closed without seller resolution, and a slow supplier drags both down.
  • A price band with room. Roughly $3 to $150 at cost. Below $3 there is nothing left after the final value fee. Above $150, buyers compare against Amazon and win.

What our algorithm checks

For years, product research meant paying for a third-party tool that scraped eBay sold listings and matched them to a supplier by image. That data is useful, but it is metered, it lags, and it costs $60 a month before you have listed anything.

Our system tracks 30-day sales, feedback rate, delivery estimates and category for every candidate product. The table below is what our algorithm checks before a product can reach a SuperDS seller.

SignalWhat we checkCut-off
SalesOrders in the last 30 days300 or more

ShippingEstimated delivery to the US10 days or less
CostSupplier sale price$3 to $150
Brand riskTitle checked against the SuperDS VeRO listAny match is dropped
VarietyCaps per niche and per store3 per niche, 2 per store

The variety caps matter more than they look. Sorted by raw sales, one category fills up with fifteen robot vacuum brushes from the same three stores. Capping per niche and per store forces the batch to spread across neck fans, silk pillowcases, cycling jerseys and parking sensors instead.

Reading a product card

Each product in your order shows four numbers. Here is what to do with them.

  • Sold / 30d. Units the supplier shipped in the last month across all their buyers, not just dropshippers. Under 500 is a niche product that needs a sharp title. Over 3,000 means competition on eBay already exists, so check what the top three listings charge before you price.
  • Positive percent. The supplier's feedback rate. 95 and above is safe. Between 90 and 95, open the supplier page and read the most recent negative reviews. If they mention sizing or color, expect returns.
  • Cost. The supplier sale price in USD at the time of the batch. Your pricing strategy multiplies this. If the multiplier leaves the eBay price above what the top listings charge, either pass or find a bundle angle with our product bundling guide.
  • Category. The AliExpress niche. Use it to keep your store from tilting into one category, and to pick the right eBay category when the draft opens.

The three ways hot products go wrong

Checklist before listing a hot product

VeRO takedowns

eBay's Verified Rights Owner program lets brands remove listings that use their name, images or designs. Replacement parts "for Roborock" and cases "for iPad" are the classic trap: high sales, high takedown risk. Three strikes can end your account. Run every title through the Vero Checker before listing, and read the eBay VeRO list of brands to avoid if you sell in electronics or auto parts.

Slow shipping

A product that sells 5,000 units a month with 25-day delivery will still hurt your account. eBay evaluates late shipments and "item not received" cases over a rolling 12-month window for most sellers, and a Below Standard rating costs you search placement and adds a fee on top of the final value fee. Filter for delivery days at the supplier, not just price. A US or EU warehouse option on the AliExpress listing is worth a dollar or two of extra cost.

Thin margins

A $4 item that sells for $9 sounds like a 125 percent markup until you subtract the 13.6 percent final value fee in most categories, the fixed per-order fee, the promoted listing rate if you use it, and one return in ten. Use the eBay fee calculator and price from landed cost, never from the supplier price. Our guide on checking eBay fees before listing walks through the math on three real products.

How the SuperDS Product Finder works

Every week our algorithm reviews the top sellers across AliExpress, applies the checks above, and sets the winners aside. You place an order for 5, 10, 25 or 50 products with coins and receive a random selection from that batch. Each product is reserved to one seller. Once it lands in your order it is removed for everyone else on SuperDS, so you are never listing the same item as someone who ordered before you.

The Product Finder order panel: choose a supplier, pick 5 to 50 products, pay with coins

  • Order. Pick 5, 10, 25 or 50 products at 25 coins each. They arrive in your orders list instantly.
  • Review. Every card shows 30-day sales, supplier feedback, cost and category, with a link to the supplier page.
  • Import. The Import to eBay button opens the supplier page through the SuperDS extension, scrapes the live listing with variants and description, and builds the draft with your pricing strategy applied. "Import all" does the whole order in one click.
  • Monitor. After listing, the price and stock monitor reprices or ends the listing when the supplier changes it, so a product you ordered three weeks ago stays safe to sell.

Here is the whole flow, order to eBay draft, in five minutes:

Products you ordered stay in your account. Products nobody ordered are refreshed after 30 days so the batch never goes stale.

Before you list a hot product

Run this list on every product before it goes live. It takes two minutes and saves the strike, the case, or the loss that would cost you the week.

  • The title passes a VeRO check and contains no brand names you do not own.
  • The supplier listing shows delivery under 10 days to the buyer's country, not just "ships from China".
  • Landed cost plus the final value fee plus one return in ten still leaves your target margin.
  • At most three of your active listings sit in the same niche, so one trend fading does not empty the store.
  • The monitor is on, so a supplier price jump or stock-out updates or ends the listing automatically.
  • Your eBay category and item specifics match what the listing actually is. The draft editor fills the required ones; check the optional ones that buyers filter by.

Frequently asked questions

Is AliExpress still good for eBay dropshipping in 2026?

Yes, for products that ship from US or EU warehouses or that reach the buyer in under 10 days. Filter on delivery days, not on the platform. If you want a second source, our AliExpress vs CJ Dropshipping comparison covers where each one wins.

How many products should I test at once?

Ten is a good batch. Enough to find one or two that sell, few enough to watch each listing's first two weeks and adjust price or photos before adding more.

Can two SuperDS sellers get the same hot product?

No. Each product is delivered to one account and removed for everyone else the moment the order is placed. A product that nobody ordered within 30 days is refreshed and can appear in a later batch.

What if a product stops selling after I order it?

Sales figures are a 30-day snapshot at the time the batch was built. Products go cold. That is why the monitor matters after listing, and why ten at a time beats fifty at once.

Do I need the Chrome extension to import?

Yes. The extension opens the supplier page in your browser and reads the live listing, including variants and images, so the draft is built from what the supplier shows today, not from a cached copy.

Start with ten

Open the Product Finder in your dashboard, order ten products, and list the two or three you like best this week. Keep the rest for next week or let them go. The batch refreshes every Sunday, and the products you passed on go back for another seller to find.
